WEEK 7 - Introduction to EYE TRACKING

This is an introduction to Improving EYE TRACKING and Learning to Read while balancing.

Download(FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE) the 2 word files (1kB), and print off. And if possible, laminate.

The page has random numbers on it. Simply hold the page, and count from 1 thru to 15.

Seems quite easy???, well next count the numbers on the chart while balancing on a wobble board. And then count the numbers backwards... (you will find both balance and counting become difficult).... you will also find with practice it becomes easier....

AND BE SURE TO SAY THE NUMBER OR LETTER OUT LOUD.TO BE SURE YOU DONT GLANCE OVER IT...

I can recomend modifying the page, and making several pages with different number combinations...

HOW THIS WORKS-

Eye tracking, the skill of how the brain recongises characters on a page as numbers or letters, is controlled by the Cerebellum.

So people with an underdeveloped Cerebellum like (Dyslexia , ADD) find reading difficult.

In addition people with (ADD, Dyslexia) find balance difficult, as balance is also controlled by the cerebellum.

SO this simple card , is a way to test EYE TRACKING, as well as strain the Cerebellum , to promote Nerve growth.... Which improves Reading Skills!!!

Also , this is a good bridge to learning to be able to Stand on a wobble board and read books or magizines!!

And Remeber!! its not how well you can read while balancing. The most important thing to do is IMPROVE as you go...
